Not too bad. Only mis-fires every once in a while. Changing out the nails is bit of a pain, but that was in all the reviews I read before I got the nailer, so I knew what I was getting. Is not easy to find the nails in local stores. Have to order them. I would recommend this.

I bought the MCN250 to install metal huricanne ties. I needed to use 1.5 inch nails into the trusses and 2.5 inch nails into the headers. Having both a Bostich finishing nailing and a Bostich full round head nailer, I expected this to perform with the same degree of force. It might be because the driving system exposes the point of the nail, but occaisionaly it fails to fully drive the nails, leaving 1/4 - 1/2 inch to be manually driven.Pro's- The point of the nail is visable, making it easy to place nails into the nail holes on straps- The guns does drive both 1.5 inch and 2.5 inch nails (either .131 or .144 dia)- Two small pawls hold the nail being driven straight to prevent driving on an angleCon's- Mechanism seems slow and mechcanical. Instead of a quick "snap" and the nail is driven, it needs to be firmly held in place until driving is complete. If you do just a quick bump, it the nail is not fully driven.- Releasing (unloading) nails from the gun is cumbersome at best.----- First two (very) small pawls must be pulled rearward (and held). These are just two small pieces of metal sticking out 1/8 inch from the side of the feeder. The gun could benefit from a button or finger grab to maneuver these.----- Then the feed spring is released----- If the nails do not slide back, while do the first two steps, you must also simultaneously press a bar on the side of the guide- The pawls normally prevent misfires, but if a nail does jamb, it is a difficult to clear. Unlike my other Bostich nailers, there is no quick release to free the feeder from the driving head.Overall, it is adequate, but could benefit from some improvements. As a homeowner its quirks are merely time consuming, but believe under heavy use they would become annoying, especially the amount of time it takes to change nail sizes.

Without question, this nailer really saved me some time when mounting hardware for my deck construction project. However, it required "re-racking" after every 2 or so nails. As a result, I felt this was a warranty/defect issue and called my local Bostitch maintenance person, and he said that something was not right. I have yet to bring it in, since he required that I bring the nails with me for a better diagnosis. I'll be ordering the nails soon to get it fixed.Despite the inconvenience, this nailer was still beneficial and saved me a ton of hammering.

I'm a professional builder so my tools get put through the ringer. I bought this tool and used it on 5-6 jobs where it worked well (except for the need to re-rack the belt of nails every 10 fires or so) but on my most recent project it stopped working completely. It formed a leak around the cylinder and now won't fire. Poor quality if you ask me. If you are a serious user, go for the hitachi NR65ak. Easier to find nails for it, and much more reliable. Bostitch needs to address durability issues before I will buy another one of their tools.

I found this nailer on amazon.com and it was about 100.00 dollars cheaper than anywhere else i saw. I was kinda skeptical for that reason, but the nailer was deffinitly brand new. I've been buying alot more iteams off of amazon and had nothing but good results so far!

Do not buy. Bostitch makes the gun too difficult to find nails. 35 degree nails!!! Both Homedepot or Lowes don't carry it.

This hardware nailer is amazing, hands down one of the best tools I have ever purchased. Paid for itself on the first project. Rented the Hitachi gun the week before the Bostitch arrived, I was actually more impressed with this new gun than the $400+ Hitachi. This little guy packs a punch, it's actually able to shoot nails through Simpson joist hangers. The only draw backs, if the gun jams it's a little tedious to clear the jam, the air hose inlet it very close to the magazine which makes connecting and disconnecting the hose a slight a pain (I guess they had to keep things as compact as possible).
