I got this to provide a couple of additional batteries for my backup EOS 20D body. They fit perfectly. They are rated at 1900 mA hours. I am not sure I believe this since my OEM batteries are rated at 1390 mA hours and weigh in at 80 g while these weigh only 77 g. Typically with rechargeable batteries the weight is a good reflection of their capacity. They come a proud 50% charge. I am looking report on the charge time since it will be dependent on the output of the USB source that you plug it into. The charger works fine and has a series of LED bars to show you the charge status of each of the two batteries. It does not come with a USB charging block but it does come with a USB charging cable so you have to have your own source of USB power to plug it into. Overall, I think this is a great choice for someone looking for a couple of extra batteries for their Canon camera. Be aware however that these batteries do not fit Canon bodies after the 50D series. I use a 70D as my primary camera and it takes a different battery system.

New batteries for my original Canon Digital Rebel. They took a charge and my camera had no problem recognizing them. I took several flash pictures and the battery level did not drop. Only time will tell if they will last.The charger feels a little flimsy, but it works. I like that you can charge both batteries simultaneously. It is a USB charger and you have to supply your own power supply. Although the instructions refer to a micro USB port, and it does have one, there is also a USB-C cable and port included.

Both of my Canon DSLRs use the BP-511a batteries, and it can be challenging to keep them topped off. The OEM chargers are slow, and I have looked for faster chargers and have been disappointed. Right out of the box I plugged it into my laptop and placed both batteries in at the same time. The LEDs showed that both were at the same level, about 50% and within about 45 minutes both topped off. I expect the batteries to last and function as advertised, only time will tell. With the 5-volt charger, you can repurpose a Charger block to use it as a plug-in. I do love the fact there are 2 ways to power it. There are so many of these chargers out there but this one is a good one.

I have a Canon ZR10a mini dv camcorder that won’t power up. The old batteries won’t charge in the camcorder and since they are close to 20 years old I decided to get new ones.These batteries charged up well in the charger in about an hour and had a voltage of 8.3, just where it should be. The batteries fit the camcorder perfectly.Unfortunately my camcorder is still not working. I assume the problem is with the camcorder and not the batteries.

Exact replacement for original batteries. Newer charger was thinner so it did not include ac plug in part just the cable. But it had an led readout for charge percentage instead of the blinking light system. Happy.
