The wicks were direct replacements for the wicks in our outdoor torches. They light up well, burn at a good pace and are easy to cut to length.

I have several tiki torches on my apartment terrace. After burning through the rope wicks that came with my torches, I decided to spring for these "Long Life Fiberglass Replacement Wicks." And yes, they do last much longer than the rope wicks -- perhaps twice as long. But they have two other distinct advantages that should be highlighted...1) They stand up to the wind much better. My terrace can get very windy, and when I'm hosting people I hate having to constantly relight the wicks every time a gust of wind rolls through. But these fiberglass wicks rarely lose their flame even during really blustery wind.2) They're more durable after having been exposed to the elements. Sometimes I forget to put the covers over the torches after I blow them out. And they get rained on, or frozen in cold temperatures. And unlike the rope wicks, which quickly disintegrate in the face of the elements, these fiberglass wicks bounce back even after they've been soaked in rain or suffered through below-freezing temperatures -- provided they're first allowed to dry out a bit.All in all, these fiberglass wicks are a significant upgrade. They still seem a tad too expensive, however. And that's why I couldn't give them a five-star rating.

Product arrived on time and in condition stated. Had no problem replacing the old wicks in my Tiki Lamps, the replacement were of better quality than the rope like wicks that I had in my lamps, installation was a snap, unlike those other rope wicks. depending upon the depth of your fluid reservoir, you may have to snip off some of the wick.
