Your cart is empty.This is a two notes handmade with two dried chestnut shells that affixed upon a marupa wood stick. A second marupa stick (beater) is provided to strike the hollow shells, it is ideal for hand percussionists and perfect to play for Capoeira, Salsa and Samba music. Each chestnut shell have a different pitch, one shell emits a bass tone while the other a high note. About the Agogo: Originally African, the Agogo may be the oldest samba instrument, Agogó is a percussion as well as a melodic instrument which was developed in Latin America and is played mainly in Brazil. It consists of a 2- to 4-bell set that one hits with a wooden or metal stick, producing as different notes. The Agogo has the highest pitch of any bateria instrument.
