This unit is ALL brass, the original used a plastic control knob.Works exactly as it should, giving good flame control.

This is the second propane torch I bought that was under $15 usd.Well you get what you pay for, cheap on Amazon means cheaply made. Mine came in on time but the torch was DOA (dead on arrival), did not work. It could not stay lit.Would recommend another brand (Also I think self starter is more convenient tool after having 2 of these).Will be returning it asap.

Just a standard, well built, solid and effective little torch head. Sturdy for what it is so I don't have to worry about leaks. And it's got a nice, consistent blue flame. Perfect for heating up small pieces of ceramic/titanium quickly. Also uses significantly less fuel than the cooking torch I had opted for previously, while actually getting the job done much quicker and more effectively. Not as showy, but that works just fine for me. Nothing unnecessary. Easy to control the output/flame size. Also burns equally well with propane, butane, or isobutane.

Wont adjust as hot as i had hoped. I have used it a couple times and found it adequate for those projects. Not bad for the price
