I use this for the once or twice a year I wax my waxless cross country skis. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but the techs where I ski recommend it and it does seem that the spray on liquid wax doesn't really last the whole day.This brush is just fine, what you want. Can't see any reason why you would pay more.
