If you bake homemade bread or buy full uncut loafs, this is a useful tool to have. It helps you cut consistently sized slices by hand. There is an adjustable plate that allows you to go from thin to texas thick slices of bread. If you buy frozen garlic bread that is not sliced? Take it and put it into the chute then cut all you want at a consistent thickness. If you have homemade bread, set the plate and slice the bread to the desired thickness for each slice.

I wish I could rate the seller and the product separately. The product came used, bread crumbs included. If the customer is returning a product, CLEAN it first. If the seller receives a used product back, CLEAN it before sending it to a new customer! The product is flimsy plastic, it's hard to get straight cuts. I can't tell if it's broken or a piece is missing. Not worth paying $10 for this. I'll be returning.
