The product is cut well and overall exactly what I want, but the o ring won't go on right and I'm losing my mind. This causes it to not go down to the bottom of the dip tube and stop at the level of the valve. Any solutions or advice? I'll try some other o rings but it's definitely frustrating. With some small screwdrivers I was able to get it on. Tough but it works perfectly now. Only leaves 2 cups of liquid in my kettle. Glad I did not have to buy specific o ring tools.

Seems like a simple product to install. I cannot get this to draw any more liquid than it did before I installed it. I even added more pipe tape, swapped out the o-ring for a new one. I can't get it to drain past the bulkhead. I even reconfigured my bulkhead assembly. I'm guessing theres a small air leak somewhere but I used pipe tape on all fittings. If this did what I hoped it would have done I would give it a 5.

Purchased for a non-Anvil kettle and it works awesome! Now, I'm left with around a cup of wort as opposed to nearly 6 cups previously.

This is an excellent item and fits my GasOne 8 gallon boil pot perfectly. Standard female NPT (FPT) threads. Allows swiveling to the side to control the level of the remaining liquid. When fully in the vertical position there is about 3/16" space, allowing all but about a cup of liquid to siphon out of the pot, when the hose outlet is kept below the pot's bottom or a pump is used. Recommended if you are looking for a great dip tube. Although not down-rated, I thought it's price was just a little high.

Perfect addition to my concord 80qt ss brew kettle. Took the union off the the thermometer attachement and used it to connect the dip tube inside the kettle. Allows me to collect more wort from the kettle leaving the trub behind. Less wasted beer to trub loss = less grain to buy per batch.

There I was, looking for a hook-nosed brew-day companion to help siphon off the last gallon sweet wort out of the brew kettle. I had tried tilting the kettle. I had tried telling it about my dreams. None of these things got the last few pints in to the fermenter cleanly. I felt destitute. I was alone... I found the Anvil Dip Tube, right here on the bustling streets of Amazon. Was it fate? Was it kismet? Was it a dip tube that would fit perfectly in my brew kettle? The answer to all three of these questions was an adorable yes! Needless to say, this little beauty has been helping me for the last few batches and it's a fantasy realized. It's a dream accomplished. For those looking for the copulative joy I have found in this item, I must note a few things:1) It's the curved tube, and nut and a gasket inside of the nut. There's not a lock nut or threaded nipple.2) This dip tube will not help you find your missing father that went out for smokes; March 1990, I tried that...3) Make sure the FMT you plan to use is longer than the "close thread" pieces. You want this gal to thread in pretty deep to get a good seal.4) Thanks for reading this far.
