As is, I'd give it a 3.5 star as it is more of a British Bitter, but if you add 4 oz of corn sugar per 1 gallon, meaning 8 oz if you are doing the 2 gallon batch, it tastes more like a malty West Coast IPA. If I brew this again in the future I will add the 4 oz of corn sugar, and maybe 4 oz of pre-mashed and boiled rye malt as I think it would be over the top. Dry hopping would also add a lot more aroma. I give it a 5 star based on it being an extract and 4.5 isn't an option as I think it is a great foundation for making other versions of this beer so it doesn't deserve a 4.
