Do not buy aftermarket part as you will waste your money. I bought one that came with the air filter and it did not fit. This part snapped right into place and the mower started on the first pull. Stick with original manufacturer and you will have success.

The Briggs and Stratton 592792 Jet-Main has proven to be a reliable replacement part for my lawn mower. It was easy to install, and my mower’s performance noticeably improved after the swap. The engine runs smoother, and there’s a significant reduction in stalling issues. The quality of the part seems robust, living up to the brand’s reputation. However, it would be helpful if it came with more detailed installation instructions for those less mechanically inclined. Overall, it’s a solid replacement that enhances engine efficiency.

After doing some online investigating, turns out one of the most common issues for lawn mower repairs is the jet main gets clogged. When my mower stopped working all together, I could not figure out what was going on, so I decided to give this a try. I am NOT mechanically inclined, but decided to give it a try anyway.I watched a couple of online tutorials (lots of great tips), and in just a little bit I had taken out the old jet and replaced it with this. After a few pulls to get the gas flowing into the engine again, it fired right up and has been working great ever since. I was about to go out and buy a brand new mower, so this little fix saved me hundreds of dollars!

Picked up this and a new filter to repair a Toro mower that died on me the other day. Wound up saving about $80 on the repair, and it works great. Starts on the first pull now. You can find YouTube videos explaining how to remove and disassemble the carburetor to take out the old jet and install the replacement. Just be prepared to drain the fuel tank or you're going to have a bit of a mess on your hands.

If you’re reading the reviews on this part, I’m sure you’re already well aware of the problems these plastic carburetors are causing on various pieces of equipment. I, too, had a piece of equipment that would no longer start despite being near new.How easy was it to replace? Well, I’m definitely not a mechanic and don’t intend to open up a small engine repair shop anytime soon, but I believe I could show my 5 year old niece how to change this part out. If you’ve got normal household tools then you should be well equipped to tackle it.What about the results? Well, after replacing this part and putting my pressure washer back together, the moment of truth finally came. I hooked up the spray gun, then the water hose, then flipped the rocker switch to on, and finally grabbed ahold of the pull string. I begged the pressure washer to have mercy on me and gave the pull string a quick tug. On the first pull, in a glorious black cloud of exhaust smoke and victory, my pressure washer that hadn’t ran in 2+ years started right up. Replacing this part fixed my problem and chances are, it will fix yours too.So what’s the rating? Overall, I struggled with how to rate this product. Did it fix the problem and therefore deserve 5 stars? Yes, absolutely. But I can’t help but think that the product itself is the entire reason I’m even here writing this review. If the original part hadn’t failed, there wouldn’t have been a need to purchase another one. So does the product really deserve 5 stars? Maybe not, but my pressure washer is working again, it wasn’t a difficult or expensive fix, and I’m happy. So until next time (cause I’m sure I’ll have to replace this part again), I’ll let them have their 5 stars. But if next time comes next week, I may not be so generous.
