Muffler fits good, the title is misleading. This is the correct muffler for a 16hp or 18hp vanguard and NOT a 29, 30 or 35 HP. The muffler I received did not include new exhaust gaskets, I took 1 star off for now coming with new gaskets.

This muffler is way to small for a 35 hp motor. The description states it will fit a 27-35hp briggs. Absolutely not possible. I have many briggs and Stratton motors. This will fit a 21-23hp horizontal shaft engine. But that is a very small engine compared to the 35hp engine. I can tell you I have 50 years experience as a mechanic. And who ever said that this will fit a 35hp briggs and Stratton engine is crazy. Definitely did not fiscally check. Or do not know any thing about what they are doing. I cannot stress enough do not buy this muffler thinking it will fit eny thing other than a 21 to 23hp horizontal shaft engine. You will have to send it back as I did. Sorry someone needs to get there ship together. I cant believe I have to say it. But it came in a box with Briggs and Stratton's logo's all over it and the part number on it. But it will not fit.

Make sure you know it will fit, because they won't take it back if it doesn't. I bought this and it did not fit my particular application. I tried to return it to see if they had something different and NOPE. NO RETURNS!
