My ancient mower has a Briggs and Stratton engine, and this is a genuine Briggs and Stratton part. It therefore fits perfectly, having the correct US standard ½" thread.It hadn't occurred to me that it would be delivered from the US, which explains why it took over a week to arrive. In fact, though, it arrived a few days before expected, which was pleasing.

Bought this muffler for my 1972 lawn mower. Can't kill this old 3hp Briggs engine ! I've purchased aftermarket mufflers in the past. They were loud and rusted out quickly. This OEM one has a coating on it and is actually quieter than all the rest. Not even expensive. Great part at a great price.

Although there were some problems with delivery of the item, i was still amazed to find and receive a new original muffler for my 40 year old tiller!

MoinDer Schalldämpfer tut was er soll. Allerdings brennt der Lack recht schnell weg, wesshalb ich nur 4 Sterne vergebe. Wem das aber egal ist, ist hier richtig. Und für den Preis kann ich sonst nicht meckern. Auch die Verarbeitung ist gut.

I use these for non-engine purposes, to help muffle loud noises due to air popping in a pneumatic line, and it works wonder.It's a high-quality construction with a good enamel-like coating on the exterior. Amazon prime had it to my doorstep fast.

I bought this as a replacement exhaust for my 50cc scooter...its not for that but I tried it anyway, cut the old muffler off the scooter...welded this Brggs and Stratton muffler to the pipe and wala...not sure if the back pressure is correct but as far as the noise goes, a Chinese 50cc 139QMB engine dosent get much louder with this then the stock muffler...also with a short pipe like this, getting the back wheel off is a breeze.

Well in the UK its known as a silencer but that doesn't make any difference!Easy to fit once you have removed the old one which may be difficult due to corrosion, Seems to do what it says on the box so thumbs up. :-)
