old flywheel key sheared as designed - these were perfect fit (tolerance) and worked as designed. I have two more if I wind up hitting whatever stops my blade again (and again!)

You would think everyone would have this little key ? NOPE !! Even Tractor S....... said "popular item" on their site, not stocked on line order only ??! WHAT ? crazy . Went to ACE, they tried giving some generic STEEL key ...big no no as they don't shear as designed. use Briggs parts even has briggs logo on it.

I have a Walmart Brute 675EX lawnmower (Product #961480037 02, Model #30534379). The key fits perfectly, and my lawnmower now starts with a single simple pull....no more pulling the cord 10 to 20 times to get it started. If you hit something that you shouldn't have (a rock, or in my case a rebar), there is a good chance your flywheel key is broken. Word of caution, you will need a 15/16 inch socket to get access to the flywheel key, which is not common in a normal socket set. So buying the replacement key is one thing, but buying extra tools to replace the key is another story.

I sheared my flywheel key after hitting a solid object with my Husqvarna lawn mower blade. I only needed one key obviously, but I wanted extra just in case something happened in the future. The three very small keys were shipped in a large envelope (maybe 5x11). The package was sealed, but i only received two of the three keys. I'm not going to fuss because, like I said, I only needed one. I did search all corners of the envelope without success. The item also took a bit longer to get to me than I am used to..... but then again, it came from Europe. The Item fits flawlessly and my lawnmower cranked up on the first pull. It was easy to install and it sure beat paying a small engine shop $75. I still gave this product a four star because how well it fit and the price was the cheapest I found.
