This cap did not fit (too small). It says it is for Quantum engines but it did not fit my B&S Quantum XM (6.0). Found the right one at local small engine shop. Should have gone there first.

This cap replaced a Briggs & Stratton Fresh Start cap on a MTD lawn mower with a Briggs engine. The plastic of the previous cap cracked and failed to seal the gas tank. This cap works just fine, and at around $5, was priced at about half of the few replacements I could find at nearby big box and auto parts stores.

This cap works ok, but it doesn't seem to fit as well as the original one. I need to make sure it is securely screwed down before mowing my lawn otherwise it will loosen up and pop off during the 30 minutes of mowing I do.

Must not be the correct cap for my lawn mower. Even if I screw on extra tight, gas still seems to be able to leak out from the vibration of the lawn mower
