I recently tested the Bright Bike Lights Front and Back model M238, and I’m thoroughly impressed—this is a serious lighting set for anyone tackling the darkest nights. Whether you’re on a road or tearing through mountain trails, this USB-C rechargeable bike light set delivers exceptional brightness that genuinely lights up your path, not just signals your presence. The four modes give you flexibility, from a steady beam to a flashing option, perfect for any riding condition.Crafted from solid aluminum, this light feels incredibly robust and built to last. The beefy design houses a huge-capacity battery, which translates to long-lasting performance—I’ve gone hours without needing a recharge. It’s about 25% larger and heavier than the EOS610 model, but that extra size and weight are totally justified by its durability and power. You can tell this thing is made to withstand tough rides, and the waterproofing held up flawlessly in wet weather. The quick-release feature makes it a breeze to install and remove, which I love for convenience. Yes, it’s a bit hefty, so if you’re hyper-focused on keeping your bike ultralight, it might not be your top pick—but for me, the trade-off is worth it for the reliability and illumination. This is hands-down one of the best bike light sets I’ve ever used. A total win for night riding enthusiasts!

A horizontal form-factor is new for bicycle lights. This shape provides the space for more than one LED, which means brighter lights, and also the space for a larger lithium battery. It also takes more room for mounting the light on the front handlebars. But the mounting system of this light turns it into a positive. Instead of the way most bicycle front lights are mounted, with a stretchy silicon strap that has a series of holes to accommodate different handlebar diameters, this light has a mount that is bolted to the handlebars in two places. I lost an expensive bicycle light once, probably because the silicone strap slipped off my handlebars because they are variable in diameter, thicker in the middle and thinner towards the end grips. I have enclosed a photo of this Akalate light firmly bolted to the handlebars of my bike (I removed my handlebar extender for this photo). For mounting, the light comes with 4 sets of plastic rings that accommodate different diameter handlebars; one set would fit inside each of the aluminum bracket arms and make a solid fit to the handlebar. A button underneath the light allows it to be removed from the bracket for safe keeping if desired.

Good backup light. Not quite bright enough for a primary at night, but I've used it a few times when I forgot to charge my primary and as long as I slow down a bit I feel very comfortable with this one.

Super bright headlight. Easy mounting for both head and tail lamps. Simple one button operation, cycles between 4 modes of varying brightness and flashing. Easy to remove for recharging. Includes a USB cord. Headlight provides more than enough light to see well in pitch dark conditions.

This isn't the brightest light you'll find, but it's still plenty bright, and can illuminate a wider area that single bulb bike lights. It's also attached with a metal bracket onto the handlebars, which is important to me. Other lights I've ordered have come with plastic brackets, which are not destined to last as long as I expect that this one will. The back light is also nice and has a few different lighting options. Very pleased with this product.

This isn't your simple bike light. This has 4 modes of lighting and is rechargeable. It includes both front and taillights. I can see this being beneficial for the serious cyclist, but I wanted this for my high school nephew, because I like the safety this light can provide.
