Directions for assembly could be better. I do like the blister pack. Spread nearly 1000 pounds of lime and fertilizer after assembly and it worked well. Seems well made.

Opened the box and pulled the bin out and that’s as far as I got. A plastic part, not sure what it’s called was clearly broken and fell out. This probably would have never happened had the manufacturer spend a few more cents for another piece of styrofoam. If they cut corners here then where else did they cut them. I guess maybe shipping cost for them must be way cheaper than styrofoam. Started the return and won’t order anotherUPDATE: I returned the first one and went with a Chapin and simply put it was a POS ! Returned that and decided to try the Brinly again. The box it arrived in was different than the first. Much heavier cardboard BUT it was still lacking proper packaging inside. Nothing broke in this one. To me the instructions were decent but to a novice they’ll probably be a little intimidating. Pictures may have you scratching your head lol! Only complaint I have is that cardboard piece with all the hardware attached to with the plastic coating. A real b**ch to get bolts and nuts from lol! I haven’t used it yet but I can say it seems to be very good quality. If you decide to purchase this make sure you get a small tube of grease as well. I have several tubs and tubes of various types on hand but there’s a section in the instructions that tell you to grease the bearings and another part. Don’t skip this step or you’ll be complaining a couple years from now about parts wearing out lol! Also I needed a few large washers to take out the play in the wheels They provide washers for this but not enough to keep the axle from shifting back and forth. Luckily I had several that fit over the axle on hand. Actually Brinly should have used spacers instead of washers. Things like this is why I upgraded to only 4 stars instead of 5. I’ll recommend this spreader…for now

It was horrible to assembleinstructions were very minimal had to take it apart twice and it still doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to had to order extra parts that were missing and had to pay for them out of my pocket this is a ridiculous company

Poor consistency in spread, the flat bottom hopper does a terrible job of funneling the material. Dosen't work well on any settings under half open then material just falls out. Had to modify stirring bar immediately but still substandard. Lever to open the hopper does not stay at the setting you put it at and the stop function for setting the opening is a pain to use.To many plastic components in critical areas such as the gearbox, I don't expect it to last. Plastic cover is almost a joke looks like a salon hair cover.Overall not impressed at all had to add significant hardware during assembly to achieve moderate function.Save your money, buy a better one.

An excellent spreader for any pelletized fertilizer or similar lawn product, the stainless steel shaft design should prevent the RUSTY Shaft DOOM that led to the demise of my last 2 spreaders!
