The filter section of this Brita filter blows off too easily when water is turned up to far. Not worth the trouble.

I had such high hopes for this product, but the one I got was faulty. It worked perfectly for the first two weeks. I live in an area where the tap water tastes terrible, and it was so convenient to get clean tasting water right from the sink with the Brita faucet attachment. A good friend has one and loves it. Her husband installed mine as well, so I know the fault was not with the installation. Two weeks after installing the system, I was surprised (and drenched) when the filter part launched itself across my kitchen when I turned the faucet on. I thought it was a one-off and reattached the filter, but it kept happening and I finally detached the system entirely. When I took the system off, I noticed there was a crack where the system attached to the faucet, which must have prevented an effective seal and caused the pressure issues. I just cannot recommend a product that has the potential to fail (and drench your kitchen in water in the process) but a very short available return/exchange window through Amazon. I would have liked to be able to exchange the product and give it one more shot, but I won't pay for another and take the gamble that it might also be faulty.

We like this much better that the Britta pitcher. We would have liked the light that's green while the filter is good and turns yellow when the filter needs changed. Also we would have liked the third position on the switch that would give us a spray.

The threads of the faucet would not engage with the filter until I replaced the gasket installed with a thinner one. Then it went on easily and no leaks. It seems to work fine, except that the light to let you know when to change the filter did not come on after installing and running the 5 minutes to eliminate dust, etc. Maybe I need to remove and reinstall the filter to activate it.
