Made of rubberized canvas, with a fiber (plastic) ring and cross supports, molded rubber center cross headpiece, molded rubber buffers, brass bolt with nut and draw string. This is what so many collectors need to restore an original British WW2 or American WWI Dough Boy helmet to wearable or even presentable condition. Size 58 cm, US 7 A note on sizing, larger size liner may protrude slightly from the bottom of the helmet. Brodie helmet shells were all the same size, with different size liners. LINER COLOR IS BLACK.

Nice item but not for American late 30s early 40s Brodie Helmet. Do not expect to alter or modify it to fit. I tried. It is totally different from original (I have the original) but thought I could make it work.

This helmet liner allowed me to restore a family WW1 helmet that had been gathering dust in the attic. fit perfect, and combined with a new chin strap, its once again wearable.

It is exactly as advertised. Good quality.The nut that holds it all together likes to try to rip through the foam. It is fixed with a washer.

I am well pleased with the helmet liner, it is just like the original that it is replacing. The original had dry rotted and I wanted to restore my helmet. A size 7 1/8 would have fit a bit better, but since I am not really going to wear it much(My goal was a restoration) there is no complaint. I received my order within a few days of placing the order. Overall I am well pleased with my liner and the delivery service. Anyone wanting a true- to- original part to restore their helmet, I recommend this one.
