I bought this motor to replace the motor in a exhaust fan I had installed many years ago. It was physically smaller than the old one but fit perfectly and worked perfectly.

I was unsure if this was going to work to replace my old motor because it is smaller. When it came in I seen the rod that holds the fan is the same size. Motor works perfect and sounds quieter than the motor it replaced.

Purchased a used but excellent condition Broan L100 replacement motor and it fits perfectly. The excellent condition used motor is very quiet and efficient. It is smaller than the existing broken motor but the studs fits the housing, the motor shaft fits the fan and the electrical terminal is the same. Attached are two photos illustrating the existing larger broken motor and the excellent condition used and smaller motor. Very happy with this purchase. I saved money over a new motor and I saved a bunch of money over a new fan assembly with a new housing, a new fan and new motor.

The picture of replacement motor does not match the actual replacement motor received. The body of the motor is much smaller than the OEM. The replacement fit OK and is working fine. Looking at other sites for the replacement motor they all seemed identical to Amazons product. Maybe the OEM is not available. I'm not sure of the long term durability of the smaller replacement motor.
