Installing this stupid plate broke my console lid even further. You can see from the pictures attached, inserting this plate stretched the inside plastic and ripped it along the sides. And what's worse, because it's pushing the plastic outward, now the latch doesn't align properly and I have to shimmy-wedge to make it close. And of course I followed the instructions and riveted it into place, so it's "permanent" and now I'm going to have to waste a lot of money to get an entire replacement lid, which will inevitably break again. Waste of money.

My 2012 Colorado's center armrest / console has been badly cracked since 2013. I didn't want to replace the armrest with a used piece from an Ebay stranger for hundreds of dollars - so when an online Colorado message forum recommended this wonderful part I took a chance and ordered it. VERY affordably priced, professionally packaged and shipped, complete with EXCELLENT instructions and rivets. It's a great quality part and install was easy enough. My armrest is perfect again. I highly recommend this repair kit!

Works as advertised! Easy to install. It took me about 15 minutes to complete the project. The longest part was cutting some fabric (old t-shirt) to add some cushion back in. It's a good and tight fit. It's nice being able to lean into it again. Don't hesitate to order this lid fix, it solves the problem at a reasonable price.

Pretty easy to install for the most part. There is a space between the metal and broken plastic so I filled it with cardboard. You cannot tell. It does make the armrest heavy and I would suggest getting new fabric and padding to replace while you're at it. Would definitely buy again.

Like most Canyon and Colorado owners, my arm rest caved in and broke. I thought the only option was to buy a whole new one ( which cost over $100 at the time of this review). I couldn't believe there was an actual kit to fix this issue and it cost less than $20. Super easy to install. Only thing you need is a rivet gun, which you can pick up at a harbor freight for around $5 bucks, and a drill to make the 4 holes. I added an extra foam layer to make the arm rest even more padded, and with the metal plate from this kit, I don't think I'll ever after to worry about it breaking again.
