Mounted on a 16ft aluminum boat. Holding my unroll with pivot base hanging a 8lb weight no problem. Angle actually levels the rigger. Clamps are awesome. No modifications necessary. Comes with machine screws for mounting.Used it for 4 days straight, had some pretty bumpy waters. No problem. Hope this helps.

This will not fit on a 1988 Kalamath boat, it angles too far down no matter how you install it. Forwards, backwards, inside, outside, fore or aft. It won't work. The knobs are a bit "plasticky" feeling, but I didn't break them with my farmer ham hands. Returned, no hassles.
