I have been purchasing this ink for years. This last batch (the blue) was defective and streaks. I am so frustrated because it is so expensive. It is not my printer (I checked). Said it was a bad cartridge. Since this comes in a set I never returned it. Print everything in black.UPDATE MARCH 4 2024 -- I was NOT the cartridges--it was the user (me). I just needed to CLEAN my printer heads. The error was because it needed cleaning NOT because it was a bad cartridge. Please disregard my previous negative review.

Excellent ink and easy to install into the machine and use right away. At Amazon, the ink price is better than the local stores. I am satisfied with the purchase and will definitely buy more here.

I bought a generic brand of Brother ink because it was half the price, and it was said to be compatible. Well, it wasn't, it was just a shade off and wouldn't fit in the cartridge compartment. The cheaper ink not only didn't work, but because it had been opened, I didn't get my money back. So, believe me, I've learned my lesson.For me anyway, I'm only going to buy genuine Brother ink for my printer.

I've tried compatible off brands but have always had printer issues with them. With the Brother cartridges I have never had a problem. They are expensive but in my opinion worth the price for home use.

No I haven't counted the pages one cartridge will print though that number is relatively small compared to other printers I've had (all major brands).BUT.....the good news to me is, that while Brother uses the Gillette marketing model (cheap razor blade handle: expensive blades), the Brother printer is very inexpensive to acquire (thank you Brother), and it is more reliable than most printers I've used over the last 30 years. It also comes with a full range of digital capability: fax, scan, print both sides automatically, etcSO.... unless you're in production mode printing reams and reams of paper a month, these cartridges work well. Suggest you go with the high capacity versions.. The Brother printer and the cartridges have converted me to Brother as a permanent customer.
