Expensive and large, but the kiddos love it. 10 days after Xmas unwrapping, and it's the 5yr old's favorite gift. And it's still in one piece!!

It was the best 7 yr old birthday gift to give to our boy. His exciting was perfect but soon turned to frustration. Though he is good with toys this toys’ digger broke completely after two days of playing with it. The tracks come off often which has upset him. To much money spent on something we hoped would last longer. He likes it still. Just upset we spent the $154 on it and it broke so quickly.Sadly it went in the garbage before having it for a full year. Like someone said…it’s good for the shelf for display not for play.

As someone who got very tired of poorly-made, low quality plastic toys with no regard for accuracy coming from you-know-where, Bruder Toys have been a breath of fresh air. You can tell by looking at the color and texture of the plastic that you're dealing with quality that is not matched by cheaper alternatives. There is pride in the manufacturing of these toys. Can a child break it? Of course. Will that be upsetting given the price? Of course. The reviews that are incredulous to this fact make me laugh. But if they do break, Bruder offers a well oiled web store for replacement parts, at affordable prices, shipped immediately to your door - which is pretty unheard of in the toy world. I bought an entire new bucket assembly for our front end loader, and now that bad-boy is back online doing work. If you want something indestructible, buy Green Toys or Tonka or something for toddlers, you can't expect a realistic looking scale model with functioning mechanisms to not have certain weak structural points. I maintain our Bruder fleet with spare and replacement parts, and these toys last forever. If you can't see why paying 3x for a toy makes sense when it lasts 3x as long, by all means import more trash and put it in the ground when you're done with it.

Product is nice but I thought it would be built stronger for paying $180+. Not sure why it was $180...I would say it was worth about 1/2 that. So, its an "ok" product.

This dozer was the perfect addition to my 8 year olds fleet! He is an avid farmer, plays with farm equipment for hours on end, preparing his ground, planting crops, mowing hay and harvesting corn and beans. He insisted he needed this dozer to "prepare new fields" and saved in order to get it for himself. It is an extremely well made piece and one that he does play with outside pushing lose sand and dirt. He is all boy but not rough on his farm and construction equipment. He knows this one has a very detailed design, is plastic and could break. He's had this for 4-6 weeks and plays with it daily, wih no problems. We will definitely buy other Bruder toys! He carries the "catalog" folded in his back pocket everywhere he goes so he can peruse at his leisure. Next on his list is the crane and excavator. We love it! Very detailed and well made! Thanks Bruder. Reviewed by an Indiana momma.

Great model of the Catipillar D-11 series. This model has been the subject of many Radio control models and it takes very little effort to build it into a working machine. Most construction models cost well over US $5,000.00 and this fills the bill if you are handy with tools and such. Granted that the better models are made of metal and are much higher quality, but this isn't a bad way to go.Bruder is smart as they know that adults probably RC their models almost as much as kid's play with them in the sandbox.Try checking you tube for Bruder Cat D-11 conversions and see what turns up.As for being a child's toy I would have to say it's great. If your child can destroy this model in short order then I have no idea of what they are doing with it. Bruder models are a real pain to take apart and are made to snap together, not apart.Well worth the money spent and even if you just use it as a display piece it's great deal. (Great gift for an old "Cat skinner" by the way)Let your inner child come out to play every now and then. It's good therapy no matter how you do it.

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He works in the construction industry and is a big kid at heart. This bulldozer is a big hit at our house. My 2 year old (under close watch) loves to push it around. It's durable, but definitely not made for his age. My husband loves the functionality of it and being able to introduce construction to our son. I would highly recommend this product. It's to-scale, functional, well built, and genuinely fun. We will continue to purchase other trucks from bruder.

We recently purchased our grandson the Bruder Scania R-Series Liebherr crane and were so impressed we purchased the Bruder CAT for him for Christmas. His aunt purchased the MAN TGA Cement mixer as well. Please note that these toys are large. They're 1/16th scale. The CAT is 21 inches long so be prepared with plenty of room. As with the crane the CAT is very well constructed. Attention to detail is amazing with no shabby/shoddy parts that break after a week. These products are made in Germany and the quality of German manufacturing is world renowned. The Bruder website recommends most of their "Professional Series" toys for 4 years and older. Our grandson is 3 and he mastered all 3 toys quickly. The crane is probably the most complex to operate but after a week he was using the boom and hook easily. The CAT is comparatively much easier to operate.

So disappointed!!!!! Other than being very large, this is not a good toy. I bought this as a 'big' gift for Christmas for my 4 year old little boy. Upon getting it out of the box and 'playing' with it for about 10 minutes, both black knob pieces on the lifter broke off simply by my lifting them and trying to put them back down. Then, my son was 'driving' it across the floor, and the track came off. ok, no big deal-until I tried to put it back on-gently, mind you-and a piece of the track broke. Because of this experience, I will not purchase anything Bruder that costs more than $20. This toy was too expensive to have been so flimsy. That is how I would describe it-flimsy. We have purchased Bruder before and were more than delighted with the items. This definitely did not make the cut. I bought a half metal half plastic, smaller version that is Tonka, and it has been stomped, loaded down and ruffed up, and there isn't a scratch on it-@10.00. Unless you are just planning on looking at this item-DONOT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
