Take your time and work carefully and it will give a child a lifetime of Christmas memories. It’s not difficult to do, but very time consuming to place each stitch perfectly. I used to make one a year for nieces and nephews, but I’m having to catch up and make two as soon as I get new glasses. 🤓Love these kits!

I had my mom make this for me. It’s beautiful and can’t wait to have it forever. I have one from when I was a child, but wanted to have another, as my parents still use mine from childhood in their home during the season. Such an amazing piece of nostalgia from my childhood. Do it!

This is my first handmade stocking and I had fun making it. The design is adorable and the instructions are very clear too. I ran out of sequins but was able to call their customer service and received them in about 2 weeks. Great customer service and timeliness so if you run out of beads or sequins, give them a call. I have already bought a second one to make for next year!

I’m so in love with how this turned out!! I did a lot of extra stuff on it, but I’m glad I did. You’ll need some extra things- particularly thread. I bought different colors of thread, but used a lot of white thread for the beading. Also, I ran out of most of the floss, but I bought some more at Hobby Lobby and all was well. Took about 2 months to do, but only because I did all work when my daughter was napping or asleep (9-11mos old whole put thing this together). The extras I did? I super glued every single knot on the back to make sure nothing came undone. Now, when that dried, it was rather hard on the back. I was worried about future gifts snagging on the dried glue, so I then cut up one of my daughter’s onesies and lined the inside of the stocking to avoid this future issue. I also liked doing this because it’s kind of a momento of her 🥰... I also added and beaded her name to the top. The purple loop I had to improvise, but it turned out fine. All in all I love it and can’t wait for her to use it!

I started this after Christmas for my GrDaughter in law.. (love her) to have a stocking like the Grson, (different of course) that I had made for him many years ago.. It turned out absolutely beautiful and have had sooo many compliments. I have made lots of felts stockings and the directions are all the same. I follow them and NEVER have a problem and I will say there's lottsa work in one but so well well worth it when your my age and the Grkids are close to 40... :) Also after Christmas I have made two more for GrGr kids.I have lotts time tho and enjoy doing it.. (I also have the lil ones write their own name on tissue paper and embroidery it in their own handwriting 'what a smile it gives to the 40 year olds"..

I haven't done this type of craft for many years, but based on my memory of earlier projects, I think the instructions were not the simplest to figure out and follow. And there are a LOT of instructions! (84 pieces!) However, I figured it out sufficiently to finish the stocking. In addition, the supplied needles were crap. Go get some beading needles right away, as well as a sturdier set of embroidery needles.I ran out of one of the floss colors, but it was available on Amazon. You'll need to have some fiberfill on hand because it's required but not supplied. The bottom line is that this stocking is not among the easiest, but the finished product is quite delightful.

Will enjoy making this up.I have almost finished making this one and I am very happy with it, it has been very easy to work out how they pieces fit with very good instructions. I am sure it will be enjoyed for many years to come by my family. Thank you very much for such a lovely item.

This was my first stocking I have ever made. I love the colors- more unique than the traditional red and green. The polar bears are adorable! It took me about 6 weeks to complete but keep in mind I have a 1 year old and could only work on it during naps and after bedtime :) I wanted to continue the tradition that my mom started, as she made one for me when I was a baby. My little girl will have this forever!I added her name at the top with extra felt I purchased and metallic embroidery thread.Heres some tips as a beginner:- Use small, sharp pointed scissors to cut the felt pieces. Cut them as you go. I bought a good pair of Fiscars.-When attaching the beads and sequins, thread them in twice to make them more secure-I used cotton batting for the filling. It is easier to work with than the white synthetic type.Have a lot of patience and it will come out beautifully! An heirloom!

I just finished the first of the two stockings I purchased for my baby granddaughter - one for her home, one for mine. It looks even better than the picture, mostly because of the sparkly sequins. I am an experienced crafter, but it did take me longer than I anticipated (this is not a last minute, week of Christmas project), but so worth the effort. I saw some comments about faded sequins. Some of mine were faded on the back, but looked fine on the stocking. I had plenty of materials; more than enough beads, sequins, and floss. In reviews for another stocking, I saw comments about not enough floss and difficulty threading the needle. I wondered if those not experienced with embroidery were confused by the term strand. I think the instructions could be more clear that the floss is made up of six strands that need to be separated into the required number before use. That fact may be in the instructions. If it is, it should perhaps be more prominent. The instructions suggest putting the beads and sequins on paper plates. I found using a regular egg carton worked really well and kept everything compact.
