When I bought this, I misread and thought this was just a standard cross-stitch cloth. I was surprised it has a frame when it came it. For the most part though, this made stitching easier. However, my design was about 5.5" x 5.5", so it was tricky to do stitching near the edges. Other than that, it worked out well for me. I wouldn't suggest having a design bigger than 5" x 5" at most though for future reference.

Cloth was really loose, wood is horrible and gave me a splinter, it's also not glued or even stapled together, the cloth is holding it together.It's a pity because the cloth itself is fine.

These smaller squares seemed to perform better than the 10x10 variety. The larger ones were a bit wobbly and the fabric was not square. These only have the drawback of a 50x50 square stitching area, so double check and double count for you mid point before starting.
