My 3 previous dogs all had Buddy Belts, and I loved them. High quality, felt safe, everything I hoped for. So now that my new dog has reached full size I bought one for him, after measuring and trying the old harnesses on him.I just received it, and thought it had to have been mislabeled, but it was the size I ordered. It is substantially smaller than the 3 other harnesses I have and barely fit him. The harness itself feels super cheap and not as sturdy compared to the old ones. This one is sadly being returned and I won’t be repurchasing.

These are very well made harnesses that will last a long time. My dogs have back problems and these don't put any pressure on their spines. Well worth the money. My 20 lb male dachshund wears a size 5 and my 23 lb female dachshund wears a size 6, which is a bit loose on her but it's adjustable so it works.

This was my baby’s first harness and the only one I really trust to keep her safe and secure. She has since sized up 5 sizes but buddy belt is a quality piece of equipment that I have trusted since my first fur baby and will use indefinitely. It’s a beautiful leather, soft to protect the little armpits and although it does stretch a bit, it shapes to the body nicely. It’s durable and has held up through many adventures and always gets compliments on how pretty it is. I believe in this company and the product they deliver, never failing to be top notch.

I have a strange mix, pitbull, chihuahua who is 26lb and narrow but muscular in build. According to the size chart he wears a 6 and it did fit him in the beginning with 3 holes to go, but literally every week it stretched out so that we had to go down a hole, and now 2 months later the harness is enormous on him and unsafe to wear. This leather is not stable and while I appreciate it stretching a bit for a comfortable fit this is ridiculous. If I could return I would, but of course it stretched out after the return window, and I wouldn’t trust sizing down as the size 5 weight limit is only up to 12lb. Very disappointing as I love the lok and fit of the harness
