It worked great until the bulb went out. Have to buy a new bulb in order to use it for longer than a month and a half. We have other units that are still going strong 1 to 2 years after the first plug in! The bulb life span is so short, we haven't had to clean the unit! It's not worth the money if the bulb has to be replaced every couple of months.

Love it so much I bought my mom one. It scares my dog but I think she's slowly getting used to the popping noise. I've had it for almost a year and it's still going strong. It's super bright. Must be plugged in at all times which kind of sucks otherwise I highly recommend. I also bought the solar panel one at the same time I bought this one to compare. It doesn't work. Either I got a defective one or the voltage is so weak it does nothing. I really wanted that one to work because I love the solar panel idea, plus the not needing an outlet so felt I could take it camping. Save yourself the money and get this one. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because it's a bit bulkier than I expected and I'm having a really hard time getting the tray off for cleaning it.

This Bug Zapper has worked well. We use it indoors and the only sound is when a bug bites the dust. It has a bright light for indoors, but it is not in bedroom but a common area. We have more indoor flying insects because we do not have screens on the doors. The dead bug bodies really explode with this zapper, so probably not recommended that this be in a kitchen. It really helps keep the bug traffic down.

I have 4 of these they are great and the lights last a long time. I never turn mine off here in Florida. Yhe lights have lasted around a year. And they sell light replacements that are easy to change. Love them.

I was having a problem with flies and mosquitoes in my patio area by my back door. I bought this item and installed a hook to hang it on. I has a pleasing look, not too large and the cord is long enough I could hide it under some trim and still reach the socket near the patio floor. Within seconds of plugging it in, I was rewarded with the zing of a bug headed for a meeting with it's maker. I am pleased with it and I would recommend it for use.

Living in rural Florida, we live with and sometimes kill a lot of bugs. The flying ones can give you a workout at times too...lol :-DThis is by far one of the best bug zappers that we have ever purchased.After purchasing some organic seed starting soil, I neglected to mix with boiling hot water to kill any stragglers and not only did they let their presence be know...they multiplied within a few days...and became quite a nuisance.After researching, we purchased this unit and OH MY GOSH...what a difference! Every single time we hear the zap, we're in bug zapping heaven!We love this unit is weather safe and doesn't use chemicals like the other units we use outdoors for our Florida Monster Mosquitoes.Buying this was such a great purchase. BUY IT IMMEDIATELY!!! You won't regret it!
