This hoe is so dull and blunt it won't cut through weeds, unless they are tiny, tiny weeds. It is so dull and blunt that it won't hardly even into an 1" of dirt. I am in decent shape for a guy and can swing it really hard. i have to swing it multiple times to cut the root and even then it isn't cutting through it's just smashes the root or weed stalk to death before it smashes it enough to severe it. It might be ok on tilled ground with tiny baby roots on the weeds, but a regular old style hoe would be 10 times better than this joe. Don't buy this one or you will be extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Seems very well made. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. But it looks great. but we will see how hard it ios to use. Seems a little heavy for a women.

First thing you should know is that this is a short handled hoe-you can't use it standing straight up, this is the kind of hoe you need to haunch over and just start wailing on the ground you want to clear. It has a massive, thick head on it, and quality weld-the pin, like others have said, is the only weak point, but also easily fixable if it breaks. I think this is the craziest land clearing tool I've ever used-it's NOT a weeding hoe, this is a root demolishing, land churning, trench digging BEAST. This is my second Bully tool and I will buy a weeding hoe from them next month (with a long handle, that I can use standing up)-once I clear my yard with this hoe and get it planted with veggies/flowers. Bully makes the best mid-priced garden tools around, hands down, NO QUESTION.

This hoe has a massive head on it. It is about 1/4" thick everywhere but the edge. It should last a LONG time, for many, many sharpenings. The handle is sturdy. The only possible weak point would be the rivet that holds the head on. It looks like it should work fine for a long time as well. It's the only part that is not overbuilt like the head and handle. Even if it were to ever fail a quick fix with a bolt should do the trick long term. It came exactly as described. If I could custom order one I think it would like it to have a longer handle.
