Had a hoe like this before with a wooden handle but broke after one season. This one is much stouter than the wooden handle hoe.

Very heavy gauge steel. I originally thought it was a little expensive when I purchased it. I actually love it. I think it would be difficult to bend the forks. I don’t think you’ll be purchasing another one in your lifetime!

First off the bat, this two prong weeding hoe is made in the U.S.A. and not in China. The hoe is absolutely great for digging out weeds. The handle is long enough that I don’t have to stoop over to dig out the weeds (I’m 6’01”). I had a cheaper one from a “chain store” with the wooden handle and it started splitting right up the middle of the shaft and had to duck tape it so it would stay together. The only problem is I wish the prongs were a little closer together but it still does the job.

GREAT tool to get the job done. Well made, balanced, strong and suitable for big jobs as well as routine maintenance. The prongs dig well and the chop is super powerful to cut deep beneath the soil. Very effective and strong hoe, good for this old gardening lady.Have other Bully products, and they are fantastic as well.

This is a beefy tool and is well made. We have used it a couple of weeks now. Cuts into soil effectively and is easy to handle for two disparately sized people--a very tall man and an average tall woman.

I decided to purchase this tool based on the multi-purpose head and reviews of other products made by Bully. It's not exactly the quality I had expected based on Bully's reputation. This hoe definitely isn't made for heavy duty work, but more for looser dirt and light gardening/weeding tasks. The head is made of stamped steel sheet and then welded to a steel tube. The steel tube slips over a fiberglass pole and is secured with a pin through both materials. At the end of the fibgerglass pole is a rubber sleeve/endcap which tends to slip off easily during use.Pros:- Dual Purpose Head- Lightweight- Fairly strong- Good feel and balance- Pronged end is good for getting up weeds with their roots intact- Turning it on its side allows you to spread more loose soil at once. So you use edge of blade and edge of prong at same timeCons:- Stamped steel head is a bit thin, I would prefer thicker material even if it increased weight slightly- Prongs can bend when using it on compacted soil or where rocks are present- Rubber sleeve at end can slip off easily (I may end up gluing this on)Overall it is a good buy if you want a lightweight tool for light duty work. Don't buy this expecting to be able to break into compacted soil. For that, I would look into something that has more mass and a forged steel head.I knocked off a star for the slip-fit polymer sleeve not being glued to the handle and the relatively "cost reducing" (aka cheap) construction of the stamped steel head.
