These are a slight upgrade over my 2022 Step-ons. I ride with Ion boots. Rode regular Step-ons on a stiff tripple camber Neversummer and had very slight bit of annoying heel flex. (Could be the mount?) Threw these X on a hybrid 2024 proto synthesis Neversummer and have no complaints. I haven't cross swapped bindings and boards to truly compare yet though.
