It took a while to put this together and I missed a step and had to take it apart again to put that piece in so pay very careful attention to the diagram. Unfortunately there are no written instructions only pictures. Overall I am now very happy with this file cabinet. The drawers glide smoothly, it’s sturdy and spacious.

I bought this to match a Bush desk that I bought last year and it was perfect. The assembly took a little over an hour but the directions were easy to follow and everything went together well. The finished product is a quality file cabinet and looks great for the price. The door function great with good quality glides and the anti-tip function well where you can only open one drawer at a time.

The cabinet arrived undamaged. There were no nicks or scratches anywhere. All parts were clearly labeled and in individual plastic bags. The instructions were clear. Nothing was missing. I was careful to unpack, sort and group all the parts prior to assembly. All you need is a screwdriver. It about 3 hours for me unpack and assemble the cabinet.The unit is mostly made of compressed particleboard, except for the legs, which are stronger. Because I was careful with assembly, no further adjustments were needed and it works well.Be aware the unit has a stated weight limit of 200 lbs for anything on top and 50 lbs for each file drawer. The weight of files in the drawers can add up quickly and the sliders for hanging file folders are made of plastic, so it's probably best not to put too much anything too heavy in the drawers - or on top of it.It looks good and performs well for what it is. The drawers slide smoothly and are level. You can get all metal units (but they don't look as nice) or all wood units (but spend much more).Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend or family member.

This lateral file cabinet was easy to put together for us. We did it an hour. It matches the other white furniture in my home office and it is sturdy. I think its best than most of what I've seen in the stores. The drawer pulls are nice but I converted mine to gold to match other items. I have legal files but I'm converting to letter so that I can put more files in it. I'm trying to reduce the number of hard files and move to electronic. Amazon prime had the best price with free delivery.

Particle board and not sturdy. I was expecting that all of the trim and slides should be metal, and not part metal/ part plastic. Also, despite my following the instructions completely, the top of the cabinet is not firmly attached, as the fasteners quickly create a hole that is a bit too big, and then they slip out. As I took the white cabinet out of the box, I found scratches in the surfaces.I would not recommend this product, and though at this point, taking it apart and sending it back feels like a complete waste of time.
