It didnt have enough rigidity to keep from folding in half while trying to install it. I ended up removing the shift lever off my 242hd, drilled through the pin on the lever installed this crappy 25$ bushing and shift cable followed by a cotter pin. Ive also tried their other bushing that was supposedly for my jeep as well and it ended up fallimg out to. Will not spend another 25$ with this company again when I can get a pack of them from autozone for half that and fits better.

Fits a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 with Selec Trac. Please note that the bushing is green, not red. Definitely expensive for what it is.This took about 1/2 hour to install, using a heat gun, pliers, and hand strength. I watched several videos but didn't find any "trick"....just keep working it and don't give up

These work great (difficult to get on but that's a good thing, not going to come off easily) BUT these are basically the only option and they must know it because the price is INSANE for this little polyurethane bushing. This should be like $5-10 Max. Jeep WJ 4.0L with 242 selectrac.

It’s too big. Said no one ever. Besides me when trying to put a $35 piece of rubber into the eyelet on my shifter cable. I wish I could even get my moneys worth.

Okay, installing transfer case upgrade to my '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 Limited. Broke the stupid bushing on the transfer case shift lever cable when I popped the cable off. I'm I'll just buy a new bushing. WRONG!!!!! The Jeep fix is replace the whole cable. I had a hell of a time finding a bushing that actually worked on the WJ. I saw the Bushingfix.com bushing for my truck. Ordered it and put it on today. Getting the bushing in takes a little work. You are not going to push it on with your thumb. I used my brake caliper c-clamp and a socket and it went right on. I pushed cable on to lever nub. Nice positive, I'm not coming off, click. Well worth the money!!!!! Probably gonna get some spares in case I have to do the interior shifter end some day. If it's not Red, it's probably not gonna fit the WJ.
