Great starter kit for my granddaughter who is 10 years old. She has just started crocheting about 6 months ago, and now she is creating gifts and blankets to sell thru her mom, online!She was super excited when she opened this as a gift. She loved everything about it, from the transparent colors and thickness of the needles, to the cute storage bag and little extras that came with this set. Very sturdy and durable hard plastic, comfortable to grip, and easy to work with.My granddaughter uses this set with the thicker of yarns and said that they work Great and are just the right length for what she is using them for.Highly recommend!

My first impression was that it’s a nice smooth material, decent grip.But the weight of the big hooks can be overwhelming, causing discomfort to the wrist.The hook part of it is a little too big, so I often found it hard to pull through the tight crochet loops, which also caused the wrist pain in long term.

These hooks work well and allow yarn to move easier than some large hooks I’ve used. Rated then four stars because they’re very short making it tricky to maneuver jumbo yarn stitches while keeping a grip on the handle. Cute bag to store them in and having markers and needles inside the bag is convenient.

These crochet hooks are true to size! Beautiful, strong and durable! Great value! Easy to use! The stitch markers are definitely a plus! 10/10 recommend and these would make a great gift for the crocheter in your life!

This isn't your standard sizes of crochet hooks-all larger.I received mine and tried them out right away as I also recieved a yarn order.They are all brightly colored and appear to be poured acrylic instead of regular plastic. There are a number of air bubbles in them that might effect durability, but then not much pressure is applied to crochet hooks. I don't know if it will matter long term.The less smooth surface does have more drag against the yarn, so it doesn't slide as smoothly and takes a bit more effort to use. That isn't a real problem, just something to know.Overall, the one I am using works just fine.
