If you are not going to watercool your DDR5, but still want to push it to higher speeds, or just simply to lower temperatures, these heatsinks are for you.They will easily lower your peak temps, and if you add direct airflow, they will work even better. Immensely better than the flimsy aluminum “heatspreaders” attached with thermal tape. (BTW, thermal tape sucks for transferring heat)These use actual included thermal pads, which work decently. They are only 1mm thick though, so you may want to think about buying a .5mm - 1.5mm thermal pad pack, as I found in my case, the actual ram ICs require 0.5mm pads, the PMIC needs 1mm and the backside of the stick where there are no ICs would work better with a 1.5mm pad. But don’t get me wrong, the included 1mm pads will work.In my experience with these, it alone dropped about 15 degrees C off of my peak load ram temps (with moderate quality included 1mm pads), and I now have a quiet 1,000rpm 140mm fan blowing directly on them which knocked another 5-10 degrees off. (which I may remove seeing as how my gaming temps don’t get anywhere near my stability testing temps) That’s about 25ish degrees!Yes the price is a little steep, but these are solid nickel plated copper, and they fit the DDR5 sticks perfectly, whereas other cheaper heatsinks you can find were designed for DDR4 or earlier, and do not fit the DDR5 sticks very well.Note: to remove your oem heatspreaders, you will either need a heatgun, or 91% isopropyl alcohol. I personally soaked my sticks in iso alcohol for about 5 minutes, and using a plastic scraper (you could even use a credit card) the worthless oem heatspreaders peeled right off. Make sure to allow them to fully dry out, as the iso WILL soak in underneath the ram ICs.You can’t go wrong with these!
