Immediate stability and speed increases to both devices these are plugged into directly from modem. Excellent quality. 999mbps to my Xbox which was a 150mbps increase from CAT5E cables.

These cables work well. There is not a lot to say about them other than I have no complaints about this brand and any of the other items I have purchased from them

Not impressed with the way the cable looks, it looks like it was manufactured in a garage. The odd thing is that the cable is thinner than my current MonoCable Cat6 cable. I was not expecting that. The download speed for my so called 1Gig Internet was 890 with the Cat6 cable and tested at 899 with this Cat8 Cable.Disappointed to say the least.Update:While I am returning the cable my set-up doesn't require a Cat8 so I probably wouldn't see much of a difference even with another brand.CableMatters Customer Service is good so I am upgrading to 3 Stars. I do think the build quality could be better.

These are pretty good cat 8 Ethernet cables. Quality is pretty good the ends of them are solid. I’m getting full speed no issue with anything like that. They came packaged nicely and for the price you can’t go wrong. Very satisfied with these

Does what it's supposed to tested and work well. Not sure about 40Gb as ethernet generally don't exceed more than 13-14Gb depending on distance.

Finally upgraded from Cat 5 to these. I run multiple Synology and Western Digital back up devices with gigabit switches. Transfer speeds have increased dramatically.

The computer system in question is basically an Asus, with an Asus Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi motherboard, which has a 2.5Gbps LAN port. I have 1.2Gbps internet service with all Ethernet cables connected to a Switch with10Gbps. At best the internet download speeds on this system were running at 0.74Gbps/740Mbps. I tried updating the drivers, restarting everything, and such but nothing worked. Then I tried one of these cables and the speeds went up to 1.4Gbps. Sometimes, the best thing to do when troubleshooting is replace the cables with something more reliable.

It says "CAT8", but I would consider this more like a CAT6A cable that can do up to 2000mhz Class I frequency. CAT7 isn't real.I don't think "CAT8" will really be a thing either since SFP optical will likely take over after 10G copper. 10G already gets hot as it is... Optical Fiber is end game.Has normal connector termination opposed to "Modular Plug Terminated Link" found on the more expensive CAT 8 cables.Likely better than Cable matters brand own 6A cables since it has a 75C thermal rating. The pictures for the 6A only show 60C and SSTP.. I wanted real S/FTP.. so I went with this. It's also the latest ANSI/TIA-568.2-D spec. Not sure If I just got a newer batch since listing says C.2-1.Only 26AWG, but the cable is thick given its S/FTP... 24 AWG or 22 AWG would be too thick with S/FTP spec... 28 AWG has been certified for official 2.D spec... so this 26 AWG 2.D cable is pretty much perfect IMO.Quality cable for 10G copper ethernet ports.
