It was almost impossible to program. The touch pad is far from touch. To make the connection you have to put your full weight into it.

I’ve had other Cadet thermostats, and really liked them. So when I was buying new onesie, I looked for the same ones. They’re not made anymore. So I bought 2 of these. These are terrible. Firstly, the “buttons” don’t work well. Programming these is difficult because of this. There is no easy way to simply turn it on or off. I set it to a low temp, but find that it resets to a higher temp. I also set a thermometer next to it for 30 minutes. They read about 12° different.

We bought this thinking it would be simple to change temperature. We knew it was fully programmable, which we didn't care about, and hired our electrician to set it up for us. We figure once it was programmed all we'd have to do is press button up or down to adjust. Even he couldn't figure out the programming! With instructions! "Smart" products shouldn't be smarter than the professionals or owners installing them.

direct replacement for what was in the apartment. I've had a couple of these die after less than 4 years in service so I'll most likely stop using this brand/model and go with something from Honeywell. I'll certainly never use this particular seller ever again.

I purchased this thermostat because it looked simple, but I was very wrong. If you want a thermostat that is easy to adjust this isn't it. I have yet to have it turn on my heaters.

I installed 3 years ago - struggled to program - instructions not the best BUT worse was the sensitivity (lack of) of the key pad. Never did get it programed exactly as I wanted but got it kinda working. Had to reprogram this year and after an hour gave up. the buttons used to program seem to be effective less than half the time they are pressed and too often I'm timed out in the process. I have other cadet products in my house which work fine but this is going into the garbage. Heaters are currently turned off awaiting a new thermostat from a different manufacture.

This thing was useless right out of the box. The display works but the touch sensitive controls do not work at all. Followed the instructions that came with it exactly and could not get it to function at all. Even in manual mode the temperature adjustment settings did nothing. Sure, it has a 3 year warranty but so what, likely the next unit will have same issues. I'm going to swap it out with a simple knob adjustment.

Tough to program. Works well though. Wish it had an hold at a temp without jumping back to programming. There are times I would like to override the programming for days and I can’t find that feature.

Receive this and it is obviously a return from a previous order with a couple sticker put on top to close it.Normally I wouldn’t care about the packaging if the unit inside wasn’t damaged but there is a slash through the screen as well. Portion of the LCD screen doesn’t work either. HOLD only shows “OLD” and hour time only shows single digit.There is thousands of other options on Amazon and I selected one of the more expensive options. Very disappointing
