What You'll Need
- A new strap
- Wrenches and sockets
- WD40 or other lubricant
Correct Replacement Strap
There are several widths (usually 2’’ and 3’’), And various lengths (depending on the length of the trailer)
Remove the Old Strap
Unwind the Winch Strap until you reach the end with the the Eye Bolt.
Remove Eye Bolt
Remove the Eye Bolt from the Winch Assembly. Use penetrating oil if necessary to loosen bolt.
Install the New Strap
Insert the bolt into the winch and slide the bolt into the loop sewn at the end of the strap.
Wind the New Strap
Carefully wind the new strap onto the winch drum using the hand crank.
Connect Snap Hook to Boat
Connect the Snap Hook to your boat eye and tighten it down.
Preventive Maintenance
This is a perfect time to take the opportunity to do some Preventive Maintenance and lube up all moving parts of your winch.

Para subir mis mandados porque no tenemos elevador es fuerte la cinta, bien larga de sobra para el piso 2 que es el mio y el gancho es seguro para que no se abra cuando lo subimos, también fácil de sacar las bolsas después.Lo recomiendo para remolque porque una vez tuvimos algo que remolcabamos con el carro y ésta cinta veo que es 5 veces más fuerte que la que en aquel entonces teníamos, incluso hasta el gancho de cierre es 70 veces mejor.Lo recomiendo

Had difficulty finding a 16 foot winch strap at local stores around so order one through Amazon. Stitching on the strap is very well done with the loop sized perfectly to fit into the winch bolt designed to hold the strap. The heavy duty hook at the opposite end should last a lifetime as well. Very happy with this purchase as it suited my needs perfectly.

These straps are awesome! The strap on my 31 yr old Hydroswift 21’ boat finally snapped. I purchased one of these and it is spectacular! I don’t review a lot of things, but this strap deserved it! I will report again at the end of the boating season this year.

So far I have used this strap on my boat for around 3 months and there are no frays, tears, or discoloration of the strap. The hook has proven to be strong enough to hold my boat while I am pulling out of the boat ramp and is also strong enough to pull my boat to the bow roller without my boat being 100% in the water. The weak point on my trailer is no longer my strap, but now it is the winch the strap is attached to. However, I do wish I would have gotten a strap around 15 feet long, but that is my error and not the manufacturers. Determine how long of a strap you need, and then buy one. But this strap will without a doubt work out well for you.

It has a big hook, which is good for strength. It worked great for me, but if you don't have a big ring on your boat it could be a problem (your ring needs to accommodate the hook and safety chain). I thing most of these come with a similar hook so you may need to just find a way to accommodate. If your a resourceful guy like myself, it shouldn't be a problem. Don't be discouraged, figure it out and replace that old dry-rotted strap.

So far so good, works great on my fulton electric winch, now i have a strap rated close to my winch power.
