Got this case to protect my phone on a kayak tour. We did get really wet - not submerged- but substantially wet. The case worked. It was easy to take pics and my phone was kept dry and safe.

I thought for sure this phone waterproof bag would pass the leak test. It was the first thing I did as soon as I opened it but I noticed right away that the top middle section did not appear to be sealed. I made sure the knobs were completely shut. When I placed it in the water you can see in the photos how water is gathered in the top middle where it is slightly open. When I opened it there was beads of water inside the case. I did make sure the outside of the case was dried off before I opened it.I cannot recommend this case because of this and I don't trust my brand new iPhone in it either. I will send it back.

Love this case. I live by the beach so enjoy the security of having my phone and keys etc, safe in the waterproof case. I am able to use my touchscreen on my phone through the clear window on the case. Very handy.

I needed a waterproof phone holder but so many wouldn't fit my phone with the case, this one does with extra room. My camera did work, I couldn't get it to respond with the touch screen to wake up my phone I had to push the button on it but once it was the touch screen did work through it. Overall super happy with it. It protected my phone from the mud and water while kayaking

Very nice case. Large enough to hold my Galaxy J3 Eclipse, with lots of room to spare if you have a larger phone. Easy to seal and is watertight. Case floats, with no issues. Very easy to use the touch screen through the clear front cover. Photo and video was not distorted through the clear cover. This case was used a lot while kayaking and other boating trips. Even getting jostled around, bumped and dropped, it remained watertight and let no saltwater in.

My son and I tested these today while paddle boarding. Both iphones X are just fine. My son played his videogames on the water also; no issues with the plastic cover. My son fell in the water a few times with his phone around his neck; no issues. And the case is big enough to where he did not have to take his phone out of his regular daily protective case; it fit just as it is.

The Calicase performs its primary function - keeping your valuables dry - quite well. I used it snorkeling in Hawaii on multiple occasions and had no problems. Stashed my iPhone 7 including a credit card case and car key and they all stayed perfectly dry. It doesn’t work very well, however, if you want to take underwater pictures. The home button doesn’t work so you have to use the accessibility workaround mentioned in other reviews. It’s awkward at best and only worked intermittently. After about 10 minutes in the water the touch pad stopped working completely. Not sure why - perhaps a temperature issue.

I have two other cases, but my CaliCase is the only one I use. It has been trapped under my board when I have fallen and I had it tied to the deck bungee cord. It has gone under with me when it has been around my neck and abused as I was getting back on my board. I even filled the sink and set a heavy pot on top of it for 3 hours, and it has never leaked a drop. I actually bought this case as a backup just in case I ever lose my first one, or if someone needs to borrow a case when we are around water. This case is so well made that I don't see this it ever getting damaged or starting to leak. I have taken pictures with my phone in the case and you can't tell that it is in the case, and my dialog of what I am filming comes through loud and clear. What a pleasant surprise! This particular case is a little bigger than my first one, but that is ok as it has more room for my identification, credit card, and money. Not only would I recommend this case to a friend, but I have already recommended it to several people and purchased 2 more to give to my daughter and son in law. My phone is an Iphone 6. Since writing the above review in 2018 I have upgraded to the iphone 10 and still use this case. I have a heavy rubber protective case on my phone which cause the phone to fit tight and requires patients to remove as if fits very tight. Without the protective case it fits fine. It takes clear pictures and videos through the case video window and the audio comes through loud and clear. One other reviewer mentioned that water forms in the case when under water. I have condensation form on the inside on the hot humid days in Florida when it is in the glove box of my jet ski, but I don't think the case can be faulted for that. I don't know if that is the problem with the other reviewer, but if in doubt just do the sink test in a house with the A/C on. It has free returns, but with my experience you won't be sending it back. After 5 years of using the same case I still recommend it to my friends, and I don't hesitate to return items that don't perform as promised.

Ordered this for my brother to take to Thailand. He seems to like it so far. Product seems like it's made of a good quality and colour is very vibrant. Would buy again if I ever needed one for myself!

I bought this in june or July I think. It fit with my otterbox iphone 7, but as many users said the home button will not work. I took it out of the otterbox, and the home button still didn't work. The first two times I used it, it was great, it floated and my phone stayed nice and dry. Each time I washed it with mild soap and water and air dried it. I did not do any underwater swimming at all, basically walked around the pool with it floating on top of the water so I can keep an eye on my kid. The third time, I used it in November, I dove underwater (not very deep, like a few feet) so I could race my older niece and when I looked at my phone after- water leaking! I was very careful to seal it properly too. I think this is an ok product if you aren't intending on swimming underwater, but as far as actually going underwater I am hesitant.
