Kool eq and distortion pedal , I am totally impressed by the high gain I got, and the equalizer, gives it a significant boost, It puts some top of the line distortion pedals to shame.

Worth the money and there aren't many Od/Dst pedals out there ( Poss. Joyo...Harley Benton maybe..?) with built -in eq.EQ shouldn't be underestimated as a v.useful tool.It all depends how it's used and here, as eveything does what it's supposed to and it's well built, it comes in handy....even if you choose not to use the dist. side of the effect. No complaints from me on this one.

I found this pedal was very well made and was amazing at giving you a great distorted sound with an equalizer option (worked great). I did notice that the distortion started out more distorted than i would like (not much in the light dirt breakup area) and when it was dialed full the distortion wasn't much more than the halfway mark. so although it was good at what it did there wasn't a lot of range.

Sounds pretty good,but lacks the girth of some OD pedals. Maybe the input cap is just too small.

This unit really surprised me. For the price, and Caline's reputation, I figured this was worth a try. This pedal is solidly built, I checked the board and everything is put together well - no loose or bad solder joints. The distortion side (apparently based on a Mesa mkIV distortion channel) is interesting with the high and low frequency gain, and it is easy to blend in a lot of usable tones. The EQ section can then shape that even father - or be used irrespective of the distortion channel. That's how I'm using it. I play through an upgraded Fender Excelsior turned up to 2pm on the volume knob, I use the EQ to pull out the mids and some lows to clean the signal up when I need to play clean, and the drive side is for when the I need something a little hairier than an overdrive pedal can manage. The only minor complaints I have is that it would be neat to have the "voice" switch Caline features on some of their other pedals to switch where the eq goes in the signal chain, but even without this it is still a very versatile pedal. My second minor complaint is that this pedal is quite noisy, but when I want this style of distortion I want it to be noisy - your mileage may vary.

I have another Caline dual pedal (the delay and chorus) which I really like. With this Easy Driver I thought that the EQ would be more independent of the distortion side. It's not. The onboard EQ is vital to making the distortion sound decent as the Gains on the distortion side aren't capable of any real tone-shaping.

This reminds me of my Mesa. I hear it’s supposed to so, job well done. The eq works independently of the gain. It’s well built, Caline does a good job, also bought the crazy cacti and the power supply. They don’t take batteries and you might not get the rubber pads. I’m a non paid spokesperson.

The cascading gain distortion section is reminiscent of the original Boogie amps which featured two input volume controls which had one feeding the next one to create that Carlos ultimate sustain. The distortion section in this pedal can really sing.Just when you thought it could not get better you kick in the EQ and push that 100 HZ slider way-UP, there it is, beef beyond belief in your tone. The EQ is brilliant. The only thing that would make this pedal better is a switch that reversed the order of the effects for more tone options.At this build-quality, price and tonal output this pedal is a no-brainer for anyone who loves crunchy tones.Good Music To You!

I don't give 5 star reviews for just about anything, but this pedal is perfect!! I've been playing for over 37 years now, and I've owned pretty much every pedal from $300 boutique pedals to $20 value deals. Though this pedal is only $70, is sounds like it costs a lot more!It's warm and articulate. Both gain stages work very well together with no digital clipping at all. The EQ is extremely musical and does not introduce any extraneous hiss! You are able to use the EQ and drive channels separate, or stacked. Either way, you can achieve boosted clean tones, warm overdrive tones or moderate distortion...please understand, this WILL NOT give you distortion like Metallica or Megadeath...but it achieves brilliant blues, rock or alternative sounds in spades! If you're looking for a pedal that gives you a huge variety of tone and character, this is it! For the price, you will not beat it!!
