This set of connecting plugs is nearly a perfect setup. Way more cost effective than the Minn Kota offering, but I still prefer how the Minn Kota plug comes at a ninety degree bend and not straight out as these do. Regardless, I have the room and I can confirm this setup so that I can place it so it won't get kicked or bumped and broken. Time will tell though. Very happy so far I'm

I use these connectors for my trolling motor plug on my boat. I fish in saltwater and these connectors hold up better to corrosion than any others I have used. This connector only requires a small hole for installation and is made of quality components. It makes a solid, strong connection. It comes with plug covers for when unplugged. I highly recommend these connectors.

I purchased this August, 2019. I fish mainly inshore on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and Mississippi. So this plug experiences salt and sun. It is installed on the bow deck, horizontal surface, instead of a vertical surface. I have never lost power because of the plug or had a short in the plug or it's connections. For delivering power at 60 amps or less, this has been an effective and very cost efficient plug. The only issue I have is the flexible gray portions of the plug are beginning to fail because of sun/weather. Wire is great, connection is great but the flexible gray plastic is failing due to weathering. The troll motor is rinsed and removed after every trip and kept in the garage. It does not sit out. It only experiences weathering when it is in use. Time will tell how long those gray flexible portions hold up. Otherwise, for the cost, this is a great plug!

I decided on these for quick disconnects on a kayak mounted trolling motor. The spring loaded dust/water caps are fantastic and because they come pre-wired, installation was quick and easy. Connections are solid and sturdy.To those that complained about the thru-hull/hole side just pushing through the housing, there’s a small set screw in the package that secures the plug in the housing and relocates the wire spring to the front of housing instead of on the plug itself.

Again, these are perfect! Super easy to install and use...I would recommend checking the wires where they connect to the plug. Easy to check, just pull the grey rubber plug out of the black plastic base and make sure wires are tight. If they need re-crimped, from the front of the plug where it plugs in and you can see the silver plug connections there is a flat plate that the pin connector catches on...press down on the flat plate and pull back on that wire and the wire will slide out and it can be fixed if needed. I've installed 3 of these plugs in my kayak and had one that needed the wire re-crimped so I don't think it's a common issue. These are worth having to double check this as they are very nice heavy plugs and very easy to install.

I added pictures of the instructions because they answered a bunch of questions I had before buying this unit, which I gambled would be what I needed, and worse case I could return it if not, for someone else, it might make their decision to purchase this easier. This is a great unit and exactly what I needed to pass the power for my trolling motor through to the inside of my 18’ Victoria 18 sailboat!Here’s what I love!- the connectors come with crimpable ends already outfitted with heat shrink- the connectors are identical and only mate one way so it makes it really hard to put the wrong end in the thru-hull connector- it comes with a thru hull fitting!- the wire gauge is thick and heavy dutt- the connectors are solid and durable- the covers are attached with cable that is threaded so it can be detached and moved aroundJust a really well thought out product, really well designed and I feel like it’s a bargain at the $25 price point I bought it for.The only thing I didn’t like is that they did an awful job on the product listing on Amazon explaining how this works and all the configurations possible so that I would know it’s what I needed. I also feel like it would’ve been handy to know it needs a 1.5” thru hull hole. Works fine for me, but might not for someone else who has tighter size requirements.Highly recommend this for anyone doing a project like mine to pass the power for an outboard motor into the cabin where the power is.

Used to plug trolling motor to battery. The caps to prevent moisture don’t fit snug and the retainers are flimsy. So far no issues with connections so I’m happy about that. But for a $30 quick connect I expected better quality.

These are a solid set of plugs,People complaining about the plug falling out from the flush mount did not see the small set screw that holds it in place located in the package. Unscrew the wire cap holder from the plug. Slide that plug in the flush mount housing. Screw in the set screw through the small hole on the out side of the housing. Done. Wont fall out. As someone else stated about the heat shrinks having holes... pretty common sense sliding a marine heat shrink over those connectors anyways. Great deal on these.

I bought a set last year to wire a secondary battery in my FJ Cruiser. It worked so well that I bought a second set, this time for a solar panel charge controller to the battery so I can connect/disconnect it quickly while out camping.

These connectors are extremely well made. The wire provided and the shrink tube crimp connections worked exactly as I'd hoped. The two connectors join easily and smoothly and can be easily separated. I think this is an outstanding connector kit. I did not make use of the mounting hardware so I cannot speak to that aspect of this product.

I have tried a lot of connectors recently, from Anderson Powerpole to Marinco 3 blade twist plugs/outlets to Noco Genius 2 pin connectors, and of course the popular 2 pin SAE flat connector (of which it seems no two vendors produce identical and fully compatible versions). What I was looking for was a durable connector to use between solar panels and "solar generators" (fancy term for portable battery packs). I wanted something that protected the hot lead from incidental contact, was weatherproof, has appropriate strain relief, and doesn't require proprietary crimping tools.Everything about the Trac connector/plug fit the bill for me. They come with weatherproof covers. The connection to your cable is via a crimped butt connector that comes with heat shrink. The wire leads from the plug to the butt connector are tinned copper wire with 105C insulator. The crimps are properly executed, although I'd prefer if they used a non-dimple type crimp as it results in a pin hole in the heat shrink.I've got a box full of plugs/sockets I've tried to use for this project, all rejected for one reason or another (not weather proof, exposed wire, poorly designed, inconsistent sizing, poorly executed, lack of strain relief). Close to $200 in wasted money and time. I also have a box full of these Trac connectors - until someone comes up with something better, the box full of Trac connectors is the one I'm keeping. The other one is going into the garbage where it belongs.
