This is an amazing tool. I've done decks with the traditional hidden faster systems, Trex, Timbertech, etc., and this method is twice as fast as using those systems. I won't use those others anymore!

A really great tool but be careful as it requires specially narrow screws that can be ordered from CAMO also and are cheaper than comparative ones from Spax etc.Its really easy to use and laboursaving

If you want to install exterior decking WITHOUT running fasteners through the face where they'll collect water, splinter and make it look unprofessional, then this is a MUST HAVE tool!! Don't forget to buy the special drill bits needed when installing Ipe, Mahogany, Meranti, (any) Hardwood decking. You'll thank me later!! With this tool, you can also install typical pressure treated decking, composite decking, etc, though pre-drilling is not really necessary since these materials have a softer composition. You'll also need to buy the specific Camo screws to use this tool, but the results are FANTASTIC!! I've never had a dissatisfied client!!!

This product exceeded my expectations in ease of use. It's thoughtful design sped up my solo refinish installation. I spent more time laying out each row and fasteners than I did drilling and fastening the boards. Purchased the lever and screws and extra bits along with this tool, highly recommend the system.

Note that there are different tools for different types of deck boards. One Camo tool designed for cedar decking will not work on composite decking. Be sure to verify what you are using it on and that it is the correct tool for that product. I made that mistake. Had to return for the right one. Otherwise, works as advertised. Just expensive screws.

Fantastic gadget making our life so much easier. I would say buy the Camo screws too expensive but worth it.

My fault this doesn’t get a highest rating. I was psyched about this tool when I saw it on a deck building YouTube video. I still am but what I did not understand was that there were different size tools for different width deck boards. If I hadn’t been under a tight deadline I would have exchanged it for the larger size that fit my deck boards to finish the project. I still think it’s a great tool.

This really makes the deck look good! I used it to install cedar 2x4 on the deck and it worked very well. I didn't need to pre-drill the boards and it did a decent job of pulling down slightly warped boards (I discarded boards with big wow's). It's very sturdy and I was able to use it to position most boards all by itself, while using a couple of flat bars for fine-tuning spaces (3/16") or holding down boards until the screws were installed. One note to include, it takes a lot longer to use this than just putting screws down through the top of the boards, but the clean look, without splinters or tops of screws showing is definitely worth it.I can't emphasize how sturdy it is - I installed 1,400sf of decking, including steps and a rim board - and it still looks almost brand new. Plus, while I purchased the bulk screws with the fastener, when I needed a few extras I just went to Home Depot and got a small box (they cost a little more than online, but no waiting for postage).

I saw this deck fastening system while watching a video online. I decided to try the system because there are no surface blemishes when the deck is completed. This tool did everything it advertised and I was very happy with it. My only complaint was that a different tool was needed for 2x4's and 2x6's. If you are using both dimensions of lumber on the deck surface, you'll need two different tools. It does take a lot longer to install the deck surface, but the finished product looks great. It will be interesting to see if fasteners stand the test of time.
