Hit my cast iron well cap with my mower and destroyed it - needed a simple solution and this was definitely it. Took more time to remove the existing well cap than it did to install this one. Removing wiring was easy (the well pump is not constantly under power - you can simply remove wire nuts and route cables) or you can turn off at the breaker. Regardless, that part was very simple. The lower unit and gasket all went on easy and the cap went on very snug. Highly recommended!!

This unit fit perfectly. I was a little hesitant during installation but righted in alternating sequence once all bolts got tightened it fit glove like!

Not sure if I will keep this however as mentioned in the heading BRASS this is miss leading ! the unit is made of plastic however appears well made I will see if it fits my well tube then decide! May up date later

It looks good except I received a 6 inch cap and I need a 5 inch cap. Also, I need it to also seal the well but this one will not.I need to get a return.

This is a well-made product as an alternative to the heavy cast iron well caps. The electrical power conduit entrance is 1 1/4 inch and it is threaded. I had to buy that piece and another adapter to fit my 1 inch conduit. My well O.D. was 6 5/8 inches so this fit around the well perfectly.

One thing to note is that the cap is made of ABS plastic. It works as it should, however, I was expecting something made out of metal. So be careful when tightening down the bolts that you don't go too tight and crack the plastic.

I purchased this item as an identical replacement for my broken cover. The only concern was that my damaged cover had a 1 1/4" NPT conduit connection and this one lists a 1" conduit connection. for the price, this was not a deal breaker as I could simply add a bushing when I made my hookup. However, when I recieved the item, I was pleased to find that it does have the larger 1 1/4" NPT connection that I needed, making this replacement cover an exact duplicate. Someone needs to update the information in the ad to reflect the 1 1/4" conduit connection. Also, I searched every local supplier and the entire internet and did not find a lower price anywhere, and it shipping very guickly and for free. I rate this entire transaction and the item AAA+
