It has does handle things really well. I use it for a parabolic mic. And while being a little overpriced, I don't feel bad for buying it.

The groove is too shallow for a flash unit to go on. I had to file down the center chanel to allow for the pins to slid on. I also added a neoprene gasket to keep the pins from shorting out on the shoe.

Good solid construction. And a 1/4 screw on the bottom too which is handy. I actually use them underwater.

Been looking for something like this for a while. Added this to a straight flash bracket along with a quick connect device to create my own custom flash bracket with removable hand grip. Like the rubberized grip and the color. Nice constructions and fit. Only wish the hot shoe wasn't all metal, so I can put flash on without an non-conductive adapter.
