I use to be so afraid to remove canning jars from hot water until I purchased this jar grip. Now no problem, grips securely with no slipping and doesn't allow jars to fall into boiling water. Highly recommend

These work very well over all, my only complaint is that the metal of the handle doesn't go all the way through, or even half its only about .5in. I did find that the handle detached once or twice, but once I knew that was possible it didn't take long to remember to make sure before grabbing anything.

These tongs live up to the good reviews. They are sturdy and worked for lifting jars out of the canner. If I have one negative, it would be that I wish they were a bit longer, especially for half-pint jars.

Earlier in the season, we borrowed some very old canning tongs from a neighbor. The design worked so well that we searched for something similar. These are almost identical, but made with modern materials. The bottom line is that they are very good lifters that allow you to grip easily and maintain full control of the jar. Highly recommended.
