just recently installed on my henry golden boy and it was very easy, you will need to remove the rear sight to install as it covers the pre drilled holes for the mount. but once the rear sight is off, place the scope mount on, thread in the supplied screws and voila! your golden boy has a scope mount. note, standard airgun scope rings will not fit, you will need picatinney sized mounts. but the finish is great, matches the gun, the inner contour fits the hexagonal barrel perfectly. excellent product

My vision is worse the older I get so scopes come in handy rather than iron sights. Got this mount for my one of my Henry's and was an easy solid install.

I bought this for a newly acquired Golden Boy in .22 magnum. I love the rifle but my bifocal wearing eyes don't like the iron sights. Though I hated to desecrate this classic design with a scope, I also like to hit the target. .22 magnums are generally accurate at 100 yards so I knew I'd have to scope the rifle to shoot it well at anything past short range. I put a low-priced Bushnell 3x9 scope on it with medium height rings. These were parts I had laying around and plan to put a nicer optic on the Golden Boy later. When I installed the mount, I used blue Loctite, though there was a glob of dry thread locker on the screw threads. I lightly tightened one screw but then found I couldn't get the other one started until I loosened the first. This indicates some minor misalignment but not enough to worry about. Once installed, the mount looked to be exactly parallel to the rifle, as it should be.I wondered why this scope mount seemed to fit a bit high above the receiver and quickly found out as soon as I had the scope mounted. It's to give you thumb clearance between the top of the hammer and the scope. I also wondered if Henry had any scopes recommended to go with the mount/rifle. I contacted Henry Support and to find that they have no recommendation. I also asked what the threaded hole is for at the rearward end of the mount. They told me that it's a carry-over from an earlier version and serves no purpose, so that mystery was solved.I haven't tried shooting the gun with the scope yet, but overall, this mount seems to do the job nicely. If I had to make suggestions, I would like socket head (Allen) screws instead of slotted mounting screws. Instructions that included a tightening torque and an explanation of the mystery hole would be a plus, too.

Very sturdy—solid mount. Will accept any mount that fits a standard Weaver rail. Mounting slots are far apart—may not work with a shorter scope. Had no problem with my Weaver model 849398 Classic Rimfire 3-9x32. Given the drop in the GoldenBoy stock, you will not be able to hold a cheek weld. More like a chin weld.
