So everybody knows how these things work, right? This is a tiny set of wire that will give you a jump if your car doesn't start. Easy, right? The biggest problem here is that you need to charge it up before you use it, but more importantly, you need to charge it AFTER you use it, or it will be useless the next time you need it. Think about that for a second because I have needed to use this three times since I got it, and each time, it was dead because I forgot to charge it up. Having said that, it's a great tool if you can remember what you need it for. It's small and compact, but sometimes the old wires are better than this.

Used it to jump my neighbors car smith a half charged battery and his car started right up. I was impressed considering the battery wasn't even fully charged. This is a lot less expensive if you already have the Milwaukee batteries versus buying a stand alone one. Also you don't have to get an entire unit if the battery stops taking a charge.

This device will not jump start a dead battery, even the one on my lawn tractor. It will, however, help to replenish the charge in a weak battery. The battery on my lawn tractor is dead, but using my Noco jump starter it starts every time. However, with this “jump starter” device nothing happens. So if your battery is weak due to having left your lights on and is otherwise in good condition, this device will likely get your car started after waiting while it slowly recharges your battery. But if the battery is flat dead, forget about it.

This is surprisingly very good quality! It's the same color scheme as OEM so no one will be able to tell the difference!I have a plow on my lawn mower and it snowed a good 2 inches the other day here.I went to start it but the battery was weak, for not being used since September. Luckily this just came and I was able to test it out! I plugged it onto the battery terminals and it started right up without issue.I feel like this is a really good tool to have on emergencies. It has a voltage regulator built into the device, as OEm batteries are 18v, this puts out 13.5 volts, which is a safe current for auto, mower and bike use. It's able to provide 12v emergency power whenever I need it. I have about 15 'waukee batteries so I'm able to keep on hand should the guys ever need a jump at the job site.It can also power my electric winch - i don't have to carry a secondary lead acid battery when I need the winch to load something onto the bed of the truck. It also powered my 12v transfer pump I have without issue. It seems to provide me with a similar run time as a drill when I use it with the transfer pump to move water from a tote in the truck for use at the job site. The cords themselves are pretty thick, but not the thickest I have seen. The plastic shell is a hard ABS type of plastic, good and durable. I plan to get one more and keep that one at the house and throw this one in my truck.Very hand for emergencies I would recommend!
