This device will definitely prevent items from sliding around on the surface on which it is placed. There is a chemical odor that may dissipate after a while, but this device was just too sticky for my liking.

On the dashboard in the vehicle, it is sticky and stinky. Good thing it has multiple uses in other places like the storage room and garage. It does hold my phone in place. Good value.

As an anti-slip mat for a car's dashboard, it proved to be two things: Anti-slip, but at a cost... it's also very sticky. The mat itself achieved the anti-slip purpose well, but it's way too sticky, leaving residue on the phone and making the car smell of whatever material is being used, making this mat impractical to use. The size is perfect for dashboards, but it requires your phone or keys to lay flat, which is impractical if you need your phone at a reasonable angle for GPS navigation. However, if you need an anti-slip mat in any other location, such as the garage or gym, this would be perfect! This mat would be great for keeping your phone on your treadmill or on top of a large tool chest or work bench.

I am totally amazed at how sticky this is. It almost approaches the adhesion of nano tape but it is removable and relocatable. To demonstrate its' adhesion I placed it against a backdrop in almost a straight up/down orientation. As can be seen in the photo I simply layed a Pixel Tablet with an 11" screen on it and it held absolutely firm. I was amazed. All of that stickiness means it can be a little tricky to work with. Assuming you won't be constantly relocating it, the effort to work with it is totally worthwhile.

Really sticky. I was looking for a silicone pad without adhesive--just one that would sit in the dash. This has adhesive. It's very sticky. If you have dogs that are frequently in the car, this will collect dog fur. I haven't tried to wash it, yet, so I can't speak to the performance after a wash. This part if my fault because I didn't pay attention to the measurements, but it was too big for my storage area under the dash. I used scissors to cut it down to the size I needed. Works just fine and did not compromise the integrity of the product.
