This heads up display for cars does what it claims to do under $20 at the time of writing. The user can clearly see the bright display mirrored from the inside of their windshield even during a brightly-lit day. Now, the reason for the average rating is because I think this product hit the market a few years, if not a decade too late to remain viable. Bottom line is that this device needs to tune into a GPS satellite to work. Depending on where the user is in the world, this endeavor can take anywhere from 10 minutes to well, you get the idea. There are other devices that perform the same task, except they work out of an OBD2 port of a car as opposed to tuning into an orbiting satellite with a tiny embedded antenna. The former works just as well, if not for the better. Further, it does so seemingly without any downtime as it starts working as soon as the car is turned on. Even if we were to ignore its direct competitor, there's those navigation apps available for download on smartphones for absolutely free. Of course, these are capable of showing vehicle speed in real-time with no conceivable tradeoffs.I can see a real-world use for a product like this, for people with a broken speedometer for an instance. But OBD2 variations just seem like a better product in comparison, especially since they seem to be listed at around the same price bracket. In short, I can tell the reader that this speedometer heads-up display does work...eventually. Again, obtaining a working GPS signal can be finicky or downright unreliable at times depending on the location. To end, I'm sorry but I just can't seem to bring myself to recommend this item to others. 3 out of 5 stars.

The AZIJYV Car Heads Up Display is like a reliable sidekick that almost gets the job done. It projects your speed and driving direction onto your windshield, making you feel like you’re piloting a spaceship. However, the lack of a specialized HUD windshield means you’ll be seeing double, with ghostly duplicate images haunting your view. It’s a bit of a slowpoke when it comes to finding satellites, but once it locks on, it’s fairly accurate, usually within 1-2 mph of your car’s speedometer. The ghosting issue is a real deal-breaker for me, though it’s not the device’s fault. If you’re dead set on having a HUD and can overlook the spectral images, this one is a solid choice, especially given its wallet-friendly price. Just be prepared for a few spooky surprises on your daily drive!
