Works great on my 2008 Mazda B4000. It was surprisingly easy to program. I was able to program it to each one of my existing keys. Just had to turn the ignition on and off 8 times in rapid succession and then hit the lock button on the remote. Done. Couldn't use my key to unlock my door manually because it was seized so these came in clutch.

The fob is super easy to program and works great! Super pleased with this purchase. It took forever to find somewhere to cut and program the physical key - and I didn't get enough of a discount for having the key to make it worth buying the key online imo. That said, they were able to cut and program the key without issue.

Very quick delivery - Very little instructions - only a reference to another website which was of little value to me. I used experiences of other users with these and other vendors as well as YouTube sources for instructions. Was dejected at first because I could not find hardware, big box, or key kiosks who would cut the keys to match profile of original keys for less than $100 each and who would not accept key blanks other than own brand because of "liability issues" which no one could explain. I avoided local locksmiths at first because I thought they would be very expensive. I was wrong - found a locksmith who cut the keys for free and said he would program them for $50 for one and $25 for a second one. I told him I would try to program everything myself. Got home, followed instructions, (you have to have two original keys to do it yourself) and after a couple of tries was successful. Also programed the remote control fobs. Got worried when I tried the key in the door and it got stuck in the lock. Pulled it free with force and found a small burr on the key and one area not as smooth as the original. Although the locksmith did run the keys through a deburring he didn't get them all. A quick touch with a small file and some fine sandpaper made all the difference to produce smooth operation. I am very pleased with the product. I hope the attachments to my key chain will hold up. The original ones held on for 20 years!!

Bought these on an Amazon lightning deal. For around $16 for the two keys and two fobs, you CANNOT beat this key set. Even for the original full price it’s absolutely worth it.I bought mine for a 2009 F150.To program the FOBS:1. Check new FOBS for batteries. (Mine came with new ones from seller) replace or add new ones if necessary.2. Open vehicle and get into drivers seat3. Make sure all doors are shut on your vehicle, then open and close the drivers door to reset computer.4. Insert original pre programmed chip key into ignition.5. (Read this fully before doing) - turn the original pre programmed chip key in the ignition to ON position then back to OFF position 8 times in a row within 10 seconds, ending on the 8th time in the ON position.6. Car will be in programming mode, you should hear the doors lock and unlock automatically and or an audible tone on the dash go off (this announces the vehicle is ready to program new FOBS)7. Take new FOB(S) with battery in it and click unlock then lock. The new FOB should have unlocked and locked your car from the inside of the drivers seat.8. Repeat step 7 for other key FOBSTo program new Chip Key(s):1. Make sure you have (2) original and or existing (2) chip keys in order to enter programming mode.2. Get your new chip key blank(s) cut at a locksmith, hardware store or even Walmart.3. Open vehicle and get into drivers seat4. Make sure all doors are shut on your vehicle, then open and close the drivers door to reset computer.5. (Read this fully before doing) - You must have (2) original and or existing (2) chip keys in your possession. -5a. Insert original key #1 into ignition and turn key to ON position for 5-10 seconds or until dash beeping stops.5b. Turn key #1 to OFF position and remove key from ignition5c. Within 10 seconds, insert original key #2 into ignition and repeat Step 5a & 5b.6. Insert newly cut chip key into ignition, rotate key to ON position and wait 5-10 seconds.6a. After 5-10 seconds, turn key to OFF position and remove from ignition.6b. Re-insert newly cut chip key you just programmed back into the ignition and start your vehicle.6c. If your key was programmed successfully, the key lock red light indicator should go out on your dash.6d. If your key did not program properly, repeat all steps over and re-read step 5 to step 6c.7. Your key should be programmed! You should not see a red light key lock indicator on your dash.7a. Take original programmed keys with you, and take your car for a test ride with the newly programmed chip key in the ignition around your block. If your car doesn’t shut off automatically, you’re good to go! Congrats!7b. If your car shuts off automatically, your key did not program properly, repeat all steps.~~~Only if programming does not work~~~8. After repeating all steps again, and your key still does not function properly or car shuts off automatically, you will likely need to contact a locksmith or a chip key dealer in your area (dealership, some ace hardwares etc). Take all existing chip keys and newly acquired keys with you to locksmith etc.You just saved yourself $100-150 per key and key fob set by doing it yourself! Congrats!

Programmed using FORScan with only having one known key to PATSYou will require a Windows laptop, Bluetooth or USB driven OBD2 connector and FORScan with the extended license. I personally used the OBDLink MX+ BLUETOOTH model adapter in this instance and would suggest spending the money on it over. Basic ELM327 clone. In models with the GEM or RAP controlled PATS system, you can program keys yourself. But be warned, only ADD keys until you can verify you can program them. There is a function to delete all keys. I wouldn't use this unless you KNOW that key can be programmed or you will lose the ability to start your vehicle.Takes around 15 minutes per key.Turn the vehicle ON but DO NOT START the engine. Use ONLY your 'known' key.Connect FORScanOpen the Service tools (wrench) menuFind the tool for PATS programmingStart the service procedure. It will take 10 minutes for some models. Others will require codes. My truck wanted a time release of 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you'll be asked to shut the vehicle off, pull the known key and put in the blank key, and turn the vehicle back ON but DO NOT START, and press OK in FORScan - you will have 10 seconds to do this.1 of 2 things from here: 1, you'll be told the PATS programming was a success with a green checkmark in the window. You're able to do this AGAIN with any further keys, up to 8 total to PATS per my model, without further delays.2) you will be reported a success by the key count will not change. This is a failure and will need to repeat from the beginning again.IMPORTANT: when finished, you will need to EXIT PATS via FORSCAN before anything else can happen. There is a 6 second delay in this! Do NOT shut power down until AFTER the 6 second exit timer. You are at risk of breaking something if you do not wait.PATS program mode stays active until you exit. You will not be able to start your vehicle until you have successfully exited PATS programming mode.
