I already purchased one of these elsewhere and modified it to fit my instrument cluster...it never worked.Figuring I had possibly damaged the tachometer with my modifications, I ordered a replacement unit here at Amazon and test-installed it without modification.SAME RESULTS.Tach does nothing..the lights work, but the needle never even twitches.NOT my error, I've been a licensed auto tech since 1982 and have rechecked my wiring half a dozen times...these things are just garbage out of the bag (no box) and not worth the low price of admission.Save your cash for a real instrument, this ain't the one..

Installed and worked fine for 3 weeks. Stopped working. Rechecked connections, all ok but it’s destined for the trash now as it isn’t functioning.

Works on the lower end up to about 3000 rpm then gets real jumpy.

Lower RPMs are pretty accurate but as you go above 1200rpm the reading is too low and gets worse as you continue to go up. For me, 2000rpm was really 2500rpm. Being as cheap as it is, I didn't expect much but wanted to use something to guide me through my engine break in process and it served its purpose. Going to upgrade soon to a nicer more accurate one and give this to someone who needs it.

Wanted a cheap one until I figured out what I wanted to do for the instrument cluster on my 55 F-100. Not even close to accurate. Ended up returning it. Should have bought a good one to begin with. Wasted my time but convinced me to buy a nice one.Buy once, cry once.

Works good, registers boost correctly, the pigtails for the light were rather short though.
